Springboard to Active Schools: Resources to Integrate Physical Activity into the Classroom

Springboard to Active Schools, a collaborative initiative between 鶹ֱ, the National Network of Public Health Institutes, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has developed set of new resources for educators to help integrate physical activity into the classroom. These resources will help schools use evidence-based strategies to incorporate classroom physical activity and provide more opportunities during the school day for students to reach the nationally-recommended 60 minutes of physical activity every day.

This document provides district and school administrators, teachers, and parents/caregivers and families with practical ideas and considerations to safely and equitably incorporate physical activity into the school day in order to promote a culture of active engagement and learning.




This document is full of tips for teachers on how to effectively engage students in active learning and includes printable sheets of easy-to-use and adaptable activity/energizer cards for different grade levels and learning settings (in-person vs. virtual).
